History of the Lovelace Trust

The history of The Lovelace Trust fits into three distinct periods:

• 1803 onwards - Affairs in Spain

• 1803 to 1836 - Affairs in England, when the first Scheme for operating LOVELACE's Charity was approved by the Court of Chancery

• 1836 to 1887 - Operation of LOVELACE's Charity under the control of the Chancery Court

• 1887 to date - Operation of LOVELACE's Charity & the LOVELACE Educational Foundation under the control of the Charity Commissioners.

These two charities were merged into a new charity, the LOVELACE Trust, in 1995
